Mario Kart 8’s Coconut Mall Track Got A Wild Update, And The Internet Is Announcing It

This week, Nintendo released second wave of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe DLC Course Pass, including Sky High Sundae – a completely new addition to the Mario Kart franchise.

There was a Nintendo ad a video followed that shocked the Internet. It revealed that Coconut Mall, a course first introduced on the Wii, would be getting a small update. In the new version, the Shy Guy drivers waiting near the finish line – the last obstacle drivers to reach the finish line – will perform chaotic donut turns in their efforts to slow down players.

It’s better to see something like this, so here’s the linked video that shows you the update, and how the Shy Guys try to spin a donut off course.

The video, which showed Princess Peach getting slammed by Shy Guy after being burst by a red shell, went viral, currently generating more than 33 thousand likes and more than 700,000 views.

Clearly the internet couldn’t resist the meme potential of this latest game.

@TheNCSmaster tweeting out this funny video compare how the Shy Guys are essentially competing in the same donut spinning contest that Mordecai and Rigby enter, to get a cameo in their favorite cop show in the Carter and Briggs episode of Regular Show.

@ElliotDuby didn’t call Saul directlybut he referenced the Breaking Bad episode where Walter White goes crazy doing donut turns in Walter Jr.’s red Dodge Challenger SRT8.

The funniest thing, though, was the out of context Ronald McDonald page@McDonaldsOOC, tweeting this hilarious video of good ol’ Ron turning up in a weird McDonald’s cell phone.

But of course, the meme potential is limitless, and this is just a highlight of over 2,800 quote tweets, so check out the rest for yourself in the original tweet linked above!
